The church is set back 80 metres from the A338 in Winterbourne Gunner. Access is by the grass path. Parking is available in the lay-by adjacent to the bridge over the River Bourne.

St Mary the Virgin Church dates back to 1198. It is a small, but beautiful church in a secluded part of the Bourne Valley. Access is only on foot up a 80 metre grass path. 

There is a history board by the font as you enter. We have one Commonwealth War Grave.
